Health management is a critical component of every activity and process in the oil and gas industry because of the serious health threats posed to workers through operational conditions, chemicals and the end substances associated with the production and processing of oil and gas. It is important for the organizations in the petroleum sector to have a health management system containing the elements such as policies, organizing, planning, implementation and all the actions needed for improvement to ensure the health of oil workers at the workplace.
